Registration + Abstract Submission

Registration for ISTS Symposium43 opened on 15th October 2024. Early bird registration, which has a reduced fee, ended on 22nd November 2024. After that day and onwards, registration fees are at the regular price.

The ISTS Symposium43 Program Committee invited the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations from 15th October to 22nd November 2024. Abstract outcomes will be announced on 22nd December 2024.

Additional information:

  • Abstracts should be written in English.

  • Abstracts can be no longer than 500 words. Note that on the submission form, there is a separate section for providing any necessary acknowledgments.

  • The submitting author must select the session topic that best fits their abstract. If unsure about the session topic, submitting authors can select 'Unsure' on the list of options. A description of each session topic is available here.

  • The submitting author must select their presentation preference from the options of oral, poster, or no preference.

  • If eligible, submitting authors can nominate themselves and their work for the Archie Carr Student Award and/or Grassroots Conservation Award (see here for further information).

    A Student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or a holder of an international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate. A copy of your student identification card can be uploaded as a PDF document at time of registration. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

    One single day may be selected only. If attending for more than a day, then the full registration rate must be selected.

  • For-profit Organisation: $325

    We are inviting companies, NGOs, universities, and governmental agencies to host a vendor table. If you would like to host a vendor table, then please sign up via the registration site (you have the option of adding a vendor table when registering as a participant).

Using the ISTS Member Code for Reduced Fees

Current members of the International Sea Turtle Society (ISTS) can access a reduced fee for ISTS Symposium43 by entering a unique member code when registering. The code can be accessed via the Membership Portal of the ISTS website. Note that if your ISTS membership has expired, you will need to login and renew it to view the code (select 'Account > Renew Your Membership'). Please email us if you encounter any issues.

Anyone can become a member of the ISTS and you can sign up annually for as low as USD$30. If you would like to become a member, please sign up via the International Sea Turtle Society website before registering for ISTS Symposium43.

Please note that registering for ISTS Symposium43 is a completely separate process from signing up as a Society member.

ISTS Symposium43 Inclusions

Regular registrations include the following:

  • Entry to all oral sessions

  • Entry to poster/exhibitors area

  • Delegate name badge

  • Delegate pack

  • Coffee breaks

  • Attendance at all social functions with the exception of ticketed events (Welcome Social and Farewell Banquet)

Day registrations include the following:

  • Entry to sessions on the day registered

  • Entry to poster/exhibitors area on the day registered

  • Delegate name badge

  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks on the day registered

Cancellation and Refund

Please complete this form in the event that you need to request a refund. Refunds can be issued for the full amount paid less 10% administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after 24th February 2025. Please note that registration costs and abstract submissions are non-transferable and membership costs for the International Sea Turtle Society are not refundable.
